Attendance & Timing
- Late arrivals may not be admitted to training. Training begins promptly at:

- Pacific Time – 6:15 AM
- Participants should log in at least 15 minutes beforehand to ensure their setup is complete and any technical issues are resolved before class begins.
- We work through lunch each day. Please have meals readily available to avoid delays. This allows us to complete the day’s training in an 8-hour period.
- MSHA-required training durations are fixed:
- 8 hours – Annual Refresher
- 24 hours – 46 / 48 B (Surface) New Miner over three 8-hour days

Participation Requirements
Failure to comply with the following may result in immediate removal from training. In some cases, participants may be barred from future sessions at the discretion of MSHA Safety Services Inc.
- Cameras must remain ON, and each person’s face must be clearly visible to the instructor for the duration of training. We recommend that no more than 3-4 participants share a single camera. Groups with more than 4 people sharing a camera must reach out for additional assistance prior to the start of training and meet the instructor’s approval. Failure to comply will result in incomplete training and removal from class.
- Active participation is required – disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Instructors have the right to remove individuals who are disengaged or distracting others.
- No vulgar language, alcohol consumption, or offensive content.
- No pornographic or offensive content. If inappropriate content is introduced during class, MSHA Safety Services Inc. will investigate and prosecute for any damages or lost revenue resulting from it.
Refunds, Cancellations, & Rescheduling
- No refunds for dismissal. If a participant is dismissed from training for any reason, no refund will be issued.
- Partial attendance does not qualify for a refund or reduced invoice. If a participant begins training but does not complete it, full charges still apply. Seats are reserved in advance and resources are committed regardless of attendance duration.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled training may result in full charges or forfeiture of payment.
- Rescheduling fees:
- If participants reschedule classes within 24 hours of the class beginning, a fee up to $75 per participant may apply.
- If participants reschedule outside the 24-hour window, no fee will apply.
- Requests to attend training outside our standard schedule may incur additional fees.
- If a participant is dismissed from training or misses any portion of training for any reason that requires rescheduling to complete certification, a $75 per participant rescheduling fee will apply.
