Ron brings more than three decades of mining, safety, and leadership experience to MSHA Safety Services. Throughout his career, he has served in operational, regulatory, training, and executive safety roles with organizations including Freeport-McMoRan, Caterpillar, Apache Nitrogen, ASARCO, Granite Construction, and the Arizona State Mine Inspector’s Office. His background and wide expertise spans surface and underground mining, mine operations, emergency response, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and safety management systems.

Ron pairs an old-school work ethic with a real openness to new ideas and today’s industry challenges, along with the kind of leadership, people development, and communication skills that come from years of being the one others look to on site. He puts all of it to work helping mining organizations build stronger safety cultures, tighten compliance, and find practical solutions that boost both performance and employee well-being.
